Who We Are
Thank you for taking the time to visit our online web store! We know that with the hundreds of web sites on the web, we appreciate you stopping by.
The Tack Stop began in 1997 with Carolyn's unbreakable habit of buying barrel racing equipment. Her husband Steve suggested she open a barrel racing supply store in the hopes that it would curb her appetite for buying new equipment.
Carolyn took the challenge! She started selling used equipment on her front porch and soon her business exploded.
Carolyn and Steve are very active members of the barrel racing community. Carolyn competes in barrel racing and pole bending. Her horse Mona's Little Guy was a Top 10 at the 2002 All American Quarter Horse Congress in Senior Pole Bending. Carolyn continues to compete in AQHA, NBHA, NPBA, and local jack pots.

At The Tack Stop we try to keep in touch with what the barrel racers and pole benders are looking for, both in products and service. We may not have competed in the NFR, (yet, we're still dreaming!) but we also want to have the best equipment for our barrel horses. We strive to find the latest and most dependable equipment that barrel racers want!
We have the opportunity to carry hundreds of products, however we have a motto, "If we won't use it on our horses, we won't sell it". We are not here to sell quantity, but QUALITY! We think of our customers as "clients". We strive to have the best customer service out there. We try to share our knowledge, but we also gain vast amounts of knowledge from our "clients".
